CHEESE & ONION  SCONES

The easy, homemade light and fluffy cheese and onion scones come together in a matter of minutes from pantry ingredients. Flavoured with sautéed onions and cheddar cheese, the perfect savoury scone for the brunch table.

Onions

Butter

Milk

Flour

Baking Powder

Salt & Pepper

Cheese and Onion Scone Ingredients

Rub the grated butter into the flour. Add in the cheese and onions and stir through.

Pour in the milk and mix with a fork until you have a shaggy dough.

Turn dough out onto a board. Divide into 3, place on top of each other and press down to laminate. Repeat 2 times.

Cut out 6 to 8 scones and place on a baking tray.

Brush the tops of the scones with milk. Top with left over cheese.

Bake at 220°C/425F/Gas Mark 7 for 15 minutes.
